For Marmaris, in every season.
We are a broad community with a shared ambition: to develop health tourism in Marmaris, helping fulfil the long-held wish of local businesses and tourism professionals to welcome visitors all year round. We also hope to offer new possibilities to people from Türkiye and abroad who, on their doctors’ advice, turn to thermal spas in search of healing. Our goal is to establish Marmaris as a spa & wellness and alternative treatment destination, first within Türkiye, then across Europe and internationally.
Our community includes specialist geological, geophysical, mining, petroleum, aquaculture and chemical engineers, as well as doctors, laboratory technicians, healthcare professionals, biologists and archaeologists.
Academics from the relevant university departments also contribute their knowledge to our work.

This water is different…
In the legend of Hemithea from Marmaris’ ancient past, the goddess was believed to heal people through this age-old water, which was therefore held sacred…
As the AquaHemithea® family, we spent many years researching this water, which had been used in ancient times before powerful earthquakes in the region altered its course.
Where did this water flow beneath Marmaris? At what depth, and through which geological layers? What lay behind its reputed healing properties, and which minerals did it contain?
Not long ago, we found the answers to these questions.
When we had the water analysed in modern university laboratories, we found much higher concentrations of anions, cations, gases and minerals than in comparable waters.
As we followed the water, we were also pursuing a dream that connects Marmaris’ past with its future. Our aim was to carry an ancient healing heritage into the present, drawing on today’s knowledge and resources to bring this age-old spring to people seeking health, peace and renewal. We are working towards a Marmaris that draws on its natural riches and deep history to become a thriving, year-round thermal tourism destination, welcoming visitors from around the world.
NAMING THE WATER
The birth of AquaHemithea.
We named this water AquaHemithea®, carrying its heritage of health, vitality and beauty from ancient times into the present.
For this was the very water of Hemithea, associated with healing, vitality, rejuvenation and beauty.
